Keynote Address and Activity
The Paradox of Risk and the Complexity of Choice
Presented by Tom Leahy, Leahy & Associates, Inc.
Have you ever…
- wanted desperately for your participants to succeed?
- struggled with promising choice to participants, but still wanting them to try?
- coached a participant stuck on a high element for more than a few minutes?
- struggled with the difference between encouragement and coercion?
- questioned ever using a Trust Fall again?
- experienced what you believed was a true failure for a participant in your program?
There are moments in the course of each of our careers when we take a serious look at our own beliefs and actions regarding risk, choice, and success on a challenge course.
Join Tom for a passionate, informative, and at times irreverent look at our field, and explore a vision for the future of risk-based education.
